comptech icebox?
i am thinkin about getting a comptech icebox intake and am wondering if it is any good..how does it compare to an AEM cold air intake?? plus...can you use any short ram intake with the icebox..or do i have to buy a comptech short ram intake also?

almost any kinds of intakes will be relatively close in numbers....there is a bit of a diff between cold air and short ram but either way ...they are all gonna perform about the same..its basically just preference

JUST the icebox and the stock intake arm is BETTER than the AEM.
BOTH the icebox and the short ram together are MUCH better than the AEM.

How much are ice box's (ball park). Do they fair better in rain?
both the icebox and the short ram is 300 (i think?)

i just bought a used itr airbox with the cold air arm made from the stock resonator pipes, it will work with my generic short ram intake arm and it locates the air inlet well outside the engine bay for fresh cold air while the filter remains enclosed. i need to take out my ac before i can install it though. if you have a civic and are getting an icebox you need the one for the civic si not the itr... they are the same dimensions but you will have to drill holes to mount the itr one. the civic si bolts up to eg chasis using 2 of the 3 stock factory mounts.
