Default Rim opinion = please help - time sensitive

Please help with advice on what to do with my rolling stock!! My deal with Azenis ends tonight - CPC guys know what im talkin about.

Idea 1:
I have good deal on some Azenis 215/45/16 to put on my stock rims. I would buy these, and get my stock wheels powdercoated black and replace centercaps with some black ones.

Idea 2:
Same Azenis , different size - 225/45/17 - bigger rims -

Either way, i need new tires b/c stock rubber is bald, and, I want to buy the Azenis that i have a good deal on right now. Which size?? is the 225/45/17 too big? i dont care about speedometer readings, i just dont want it rubbing, know what i mean?

any opinions someone might have will be appreciated.

thanks!

If your car is lowered at all, I have a feeling you'll be rubbing with 225's.
