Ok well I Have a honda prelude witha b20a5 engine well yea I noticed that My engine has lost power and I checked my head Well I did a compression check on all my cylinders and I got a good reading from all of them (about 130) except the 2nd cylinder it came up around 40 which is pretty bad I dont think its a bent valve because I wouldnt be getting any compression if it was has anybody had a simular problem and could anybody help me out so i can troubleshoot this and repair it bad thing is that This is DOHC and They are a bitch to rip apart... you can get compression when your valve is bent, so I wouldn't rule that out.

 

You might have a torched/burnt valve. Try to do a leak-down test. Hold the throttle wide open and try to hear where the leak is comming from. That will tell you if it's the intake or exhaust valve(s).

 

how would I fix it if the valve was burned?
