HIDs on DA JDM 1pc
i have HIDs in the jdm 1 piece headlights.. the beam is horrible and its just really bright all over the place... i would recommend doing a projector retrofit.. someone on honda-tech did a s2k projector retrofit into the JDM 1 piece lights.. i forgot his name though.. sorry
It works just fine. But if you get hid's that have bulbs meant for projector housing you have to buy some for reflector housing. You can get them for around 100 on ebay. I cant remember what bulb it is though.

Hey slain I would like to know what you did to install yours and if its even worth the hassle after your done. I got a set for free from a 7 series and am planning on using them.

Definitely gonna need some hid projectors or you're going to be blinding the **** out of people.

I have the whole Audi bi-xenon projector setup and a pair of JDM 1-piece lights. I still haven't started on the project because of school.
You can put a HID bulb in there, but it will light up all over the place, there's a way to shield the top of the bulb so it doesn't shine all over but it's still not effective.
What I'm going to do is open up the lights and get rid of the reflector. Then, i'm going to make the hole in the back of the lights to put the projector in. I'm worried about the aiming of the projectors though. I know how it's supposed to look, the cut-off but how would I be able to adjust the projectors? I'll figure it out though. Also, the lens cover on the headlights has those flutes in it. They need to be removed from sanding, there's a tutorial in hidforum, just gotta search. If you don't make the lens clear then the cut-off won't be sharp.

The casper shield is actually a product made by casper electronics. Its used as an adapter for D2r or D2s capsule to fit a h4 application. What a casper shield does is block out light from shining from the bottom of the capsule to parts of the reflector that aim upwards causing glare. these are only for h4 applications. now people have copied their own version of shields for numerous other bulb fittings ie.( 9006 etc.) some work well some don't. remember you are throwing hids in a housing made for halogens. I've messed around for hrs experimenting with shields for my 1peicers still disappointed. In the process of retrofitting 5 series bi xenons in the near future.
