I have a gsr tranny in my LS. Good mod for a LS, I really wanted a b16 tranny but I'm more then happy with the gsr tranny.

same gear ratios as a itr , but your top speed will be lower because your redline is like 6800 or something like that . .. so top speed is like 130 or less

Not only will top speed be low, but more importanly you'll burn alot more gas (crusing @ 80mph on my car is like 4100 rpm's) With a b16 tranny it will be even higher.
Also, I just saw a gsr tranny for 650 shipped on honda tech, so look harder.

Yes it does make your car faster because of the shorter gears.

Actually, this couldn't be more false. Do you guys have the tranny installed in your car? I have a GSR tranny with the JDM Final Drive. Yeah, 80 is like 4400 RPM's but I still get 29 miles per gallon. How many of you get that much?

This is a very common misconception.

Personally, I think the higher your final drive, the more fun you car is to drive. Well, odviously if you have a 9.9 final drive ratio, your car will suck *** to drive, unless you have like 204 gears. But realistically, the 4.7 JDM and the ATS 4.9 are very reasonable and a lot of fun.

Never did i say that i got bad gas mileage. Im in 5th gear trying to keep the rpms low on my roads around my house trying not to attract cops and im still around like 3k rpms..... Everyone knows that the higher rpms you drive your car at the more gas you are going to burn.... i got 220 miles on my last tank of techron which isnt much of a difference but still its annoying on the freeway with the loud exhaust note due to the constant high rpms.... I still <3 my b16 tranny tho
