Default Clutch is super stiff

I just got an 88 CRX si, and its super hard to push the clutch in... Ill admit that im new to driving manuals, but both my friends who are well accustomed to maunals said that it was ridiculous... It really takes away from speed at which you can shift, plus your left leg is super tired after u go for a drive
Any help would be awesome, thanks

Do you know if it has a stock or aftermarket clutch?

my stock clutch on my 89 crx is really stiff. everyone who has driven my car says the same thing. i found that if you dial in the clutch pedal freeplay to exactly within the factory specs, it requires alot less pedal pressure, but then it goes out of adjustment again after like a week.

Maybe it's time for a new clutch cable? I replaced mine after it felt stiff when I stepped on the clutch, they the cable broke. Got a new one and it's great! Pedal is much softer now!
