Ive got a '93 2.3 and i went to change the rear pads. Once the caliper was off I tried to fit the pads but the piston wont go back far enough to allow it. The piston sits about 8mm proud. Is this normal or is there a trick to get it flush?

 

the piston screws back in, you have to turn it to depress the piston.
