Default radiator fan

I have a 92 integ. manual.

How do I know if my radiator fan isn't working or needs to be replaced?

there is a way, not sure how, to run a switch that you could turn on and off as needed. know someone who did it.

Find your fan switch. On my '95 it's in the thermostat housing. Unplug it & jumper the plug with a paperclip or something. That should make the fan run (key on). If that works, your fan relay, fuses, motors, etc. are all OK. If not, then put 12v on the fan motor itself to see if it runs. Then you have to check the fuse & relay...

The best way to check your fan switch is to put it in a pot of hot water along with a thermometer. Use an ohm-meter or continuity tester, the switch should close at whatever temperature it's marked (90C/194F??)

If you want you can splice a switch into that wiring harness, but leave it plugged into the fan switch. You can turn on the fan whenever you want, but if you forget, the factory fan switch is still there.
