phillips hella ballast question
i was wondering, the ballasts that are used in the plug/play kit, say for 9006, would it be possible to use the same ballasts for d2s/d2r? if so, is it direct plug or do i need to do something? thanks
Not real sure what you're asking, but...Philips ballasts will work with either d2s or d2r capsules. The same goes for Hella. The capsules have a "universal" socket at their base.

YES you can use the same ballast, but you have to get the connector need from Alex @ Xenon Factory (they are $20 a Pair) you actually have to, cut an solder

If they are like my visualdynamics kit, which used 9006 rings glued onto the bulbs and retained the OEM D2 connector, then yes you can use the same ballasts no problem. I got new D2S bulbs to go in my HID retrofit and I just kept the same ballasts.
