which header to buy for b16a1
hey guys. getting ready to put in a b16a1 into an 89 crx hf. just wondering which exhaust header to buy for a decent price. im putting the heat sheild back over it, so looks don't concern me, i just want performance. any one who has done this swap before, i'd appreciate any kind of advice you can give me.
DC Header rocks. mine is a little closer the the ground, but it has served me well. i didn't notice power gains because i purchased the car with the header so i can't comment on that, but from what i hear there are some good gains from them. DC is a name you can trust and the quality is wonderful. I personally have the dc with a 2 1/4" outlet and it looks pretty dam good. don't use the heat sheild there is no point and i don't think it will fit anyways.
good luck.
good luck.
Heat shield will not fit with a DC header. No where to bolt it to. You don't need it anyways. I am running a DC myself and I am kinda biased because that's all I have used on my B16. I do however have to stock B16 headers for sale if you don't want to fork out $250 for a DC.
jdm 4-2-1
can use a heat shield
lil cheaper then a dc
flows great
4-2-1 design will give you a lil more midrange power (trust me the b16a has plenty of highrange power.)

Yeah except it is 399 which is a little steep. I would go with a dc header or if you have the cash fork it over for the hasport.

then get an ebay head you cheap ***. modifying cars isnt cheap. if you're going to do it wrong then dont do it at all.
if you think 399 is steep, you'd never consider an an-R header or bisimoto. maybe you should get the ebay ones for like 45$ shipped.

true dat......i'd rather pay for performance than for looks.....cuz if you get the ebay ones thats pretty much what they are....same as stock just look aftermarket....
yah dont put back on the heatshield....just get some DC headers...mines is like 2-3 inches from the ground....i have to go sidewards over speedbumps....
