Default DC Ceramic Headers

For those people who have ceramic headers, when you guys purchased it were there scratches on it? This kid is trying to sell me his ceramic headers and told me there are minor scratches on it, but not noticeable. He says it comes like that from the packaging and stuff. So for those people who have the Dc Sports Ceramic header please inform me about it. thanks!

from personal experience, dont get the ceramic...they crack 1-2 years after the first year. get SS if possible, looks better too.

I've had my ceramic coating for 4 years now... no cracks, just a little discoloration here and there... it's the not the best header in the world, but then again, there is no good header out for the F22 or F23.

Why are you getting a header? If its to make your car look pretty then get a chrome header, but if you want a little more power than dont worry about the scratches and buy the damn header.

I had the header for 2 years now, and It still looks brand new, little scratches on the bottom not noticeable and no crack (my car lowered 2.2"). Very nice add on to your car if you want more power out of it.

I've had mine about a year and have had no problems. I recommend them.

My header has held up pretty well, even though I've grounded it out so many times (it's seen better days)...

Just use regular spraypaint and cover up the scratches. Don't waste your money on the high temp. paint.

i wouldn't do this because the paint that is specifically for high temperature applications doesn't have materials in it that are combustable in engine temperatures...but regular spraypaint is not applied in areas that reach 300 + degrees...so i would just be safe and get the high temperature application paint to avoid a fire under the hood!

there were minor scratches on mine when i took them out of the box new. I've had my DC CC header for 2 years now and it is rusting at the welds. well, winter driving dosen't help much either.

My DC CC header has some small cracks. I could tell cause of the carbon deposits. I also live in NH so possibly the road salt and extreme temp changes effected it. I went with Greddy SS on my H22 though.

Unfortunately, there is no good header for the F22 motor. I've never had any problems with my DC CC header after 4 years, but I'm not saying its great. My main complaint is it's design that has a restrictive collector.

A 4-1 header is better than 4-2-1??

4-1 will benefit your top end, while the 4-2-1 will benefit the midrange more. IMO, it's not worth sacrificing all the low and mid power with a 4-1 since the F22 motor really doesn't have any real "high-end" power.

That's what I thought, but it wouldn't be the first time I was misinformed.

I'm still looking at a DC sports for my car, local shop wants to sell me one for $305... which isn't BAD, but... that ghetto eclipse turbo hybrid thingy is looking more tempting by the minute.

the reasont he f doesnt have any top end is because of the nature of the collectors on the ehxhaust and o2 housing....dude, di you pay attention on our little drive? i mean i know i not really tuned, but what di yu0 FEEl!?!?!?!?!?!!? :a du ma nuc buc:
