i got some vtec but it sucks.... please help
long story short vtec engages but there is no power gain i have swapped out speed sensor, distributor, ecu, vtec solenoid, checked motor oil pressure, checked head oil pressure when vtec engages, checked timing, ran solenoid to a switch and it is all ok. when i lean into it in second you car hear a very light noise around 5000 rpm's but there is no power gain. i had an h23 vtec that blew up and that thing kicked super hard and now i put in an h22a4 block with type s pistons with the same h22a head and i got nothing. not even the slightest bit of power. vtec is working but there is just absolutely no power at all it runs like an non vtec with good compression. this thing absoultely dies at around 6800 rpm's
wait i guess it is a long story... sorry

If you can, get your car on a dyno and see if you diagnose it from looking at the graphs, or using a wide band O2 to see what your A/F ratio is like. Have you done a compression test yet? What kind of cams are you using?
How are you compensating fuel wise? Rechipped ecu? Adjustable FPR? Maybe you don't have enough fuel and the motor is leaning out in the upper rpms. How do the sparkplugs look?
i pulled the plugs and they have a little carbon build up which i think is normal. but they dont look like the car is leaning out.
