do i need my secondary O2 sensor???
hey i just got a new hi flo cat installed but it didn't have the hole for the secondary O2 sensor so do i need to take it somewhere to make a hole for it? or do i not need the secondary one anyways? thanks in advance for the help!

He doesn't need it. All it does is tell you if the cat is working properly or not. It will NOT affect performance.
Either have it drilled and put weld an O2 bung on it for the sensor or leave the sensor out and buy an O2 simulator so you won't have a CEL.

yea thanks...i already ordered the o2 simulator so when i get that in i'm gonna get someone to weld an o2 bung in my cat.

the secondary o2 sensor is a "heated" unit meaning that it monitors after convertor functions. these are found on all obd2 applications. in order to allow your engine to run properly the secondary o2 moniters a seperate form of wave lengths than the primary o2. having one on the vehicle is essential for a visual emmissions requirement as well as performance and overall driveability.
