Tires???
Hello I just got some Rota Slipstreams in today and they are 16" by 7", what would be a good tire size for the rims. I know stock is 205/55/15, could I go with 205/50/16 would that be bad? Any opinions would be apreciated thanks.

Hey, everyone I called to order some tires, and they said the best size to use is 225/45/16, I also checked with another place and they said the exact same thing. I told them what you guys said (215/45/16), and they said the 225 will have more variety and closer to a stock ride is this true? Still in debate help me out here.
Well they're right we're wrong. I only use 215/45/16 for auto-x. I believe if your car is substantually lowered you might have problems with 225, call http://www.tirerack.com they'll tell you you will. It comes down to what YOU want (within reason and common sense) not what others say is right.
i have 225/40/18 on my 94 honda accord with it lowered an i really dont have any probs.....
wouldnt suggest lowering your car with that size....

Yeah when I talked to the guy at http://www.tires.com he said the 225 shouldn't rub on a lowered car, but maybe he was trying to make a sale. Don't know but I think the 225/45/16 might be better for auto X, but again thats what someone told me.
