5th gen tranny problem
I've got a 98 SS tranny and just recently had a check engine light right as I was dynoing. It turns out to be a transmission code but by the time I got it to the dealer the check engine light went off. They said they couldnt get the code because it had been reset and when they test drove it they said nothing felt wrong.
My question is, should I wait for the check engine light to "possibly" come back on or should I go ahead and have the level ten pts kit that's sitting in my room put in? Do you think the pts kit will fix the "possible" tranny problem? heres what it comes with: Reaction Plates, and Bands; complete sets of Bushings, Washers, and Bearings; high performance Filters; as well as complete sets of seals and gaskets. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks everyone.
