Instrument gauge cluster question
I have been looking all over the place for companies that will make (or have) a digital instrument gauge cluster for my 99 GSR, and I haven't had much luck. Does anyone know of anyone who does this? Has anyone done this on their Hondas? Does anyone know where I might be able to find information on digital dash clusters...a show car site maybe, something like that?
Thanks.
Thanks.
I highly doubt it exist, so stop trying to find it. Besides, it already looks pretty neat, just get a JDM guage cluster, or an ITR amber fade cluster.
You can get a 4th gen lude cluster, I think those are digital. They are huge though and I'm sure it will take mad re-wiring and modding to fit in a GSR. You can always get a digital speed/rev meter. I think Apexi makes them.
hehehe, I've actually been looking into getting an S2000 gauge cluster and installing it in my GSR. I need to find someone who will sell me an s2k electrical manual for cheap to make sure the voltages are the same, and get the wiring diagrams for the cluster.
I will, but it's looking like it would be one heck of a big job if it is possible. I'm still trying to find out if it's possible (I'm fairly certain it is, I'll just have to replace a ton of sensors). The only thing that could make it impossible (for me at least I'm sure a lot of people would be able to install it anyway) is if the cluster is attached to the ECU for the speedo and/or tach instead of the VSS like the Integra. If it is I would have to make the cluster able to interpret signals from the VSS and crankcase, and I don't know how to do this.
If anyone has an S2000 electrical manual, or if they know whether the cluster receives signals from the ECU or the VSS, I would appreciate it if you would let me know.
