should i get a zc motor or a b16sir motor ???
Well, it all depends on how much $$ you have...
the ZC is a really good engine, but it is kind of limited to what it can do. I mean, ho wmany 12 second ZCs do ya see? 12 sec B16s? Then again, the B16 swap is anywhere between 2-3g's to do... the ZC is around $1000. If you just want a little more power, nothing major.. and woul dlike to not drain the bank account, I'd go ZC.
But trust me, the B16 is WELL worth the $$.... you won't be dissapointed. Hell. my **** is messed up and I still love it...

Get a B16...Make sure it's NOT out of an automatic..or else it's no better than a ZC (until you swap out the cams).

Phatwippin is correct. Go B16, if you can hack it. Although I'd say if you can't afford a B16 now, keep your engine the way it is and save up. No use spending a $1000 on a ZC if that $1000 can go to a B16. Just my opinion.
ZC .. All the way.... 130 to 160hhp. Shave the heads, do the cams and then what , your right there with the V-tech. Its got more potential for torque than any of the 16a's. More economical, reliable if a internal over haul is accomplished, And for the money you would spend on a mount kits the internals can be done . I dont know about you and money but the **** dont fall from a tree from me.

True the b16a is a great engine if you have the money about 2000 - 2200 thats if you do it yourself where a ZC can be had for as little as 500. You can also build a custom intercooled turbo setup for under $1000 that will have your ZC running high 13's or better. It's all about what you want and what your willing to spend. I'd build a custom turbo for the SI motor and go from there.
