How a thief can steal your car, a must read.....
Just found out that a thief can bypass the 94-99 Integra stock car alarms by just cutting the wires to the horn. They can simply snip the wires under the front bumper or fender. Once the thief enters the vehicle the alarm goes off but since the horns are disabled nothing happens.
Also thieves can also pop the hood open by reaching under the fender well and pulling a cord that released the hood clamp.
Who loves ya?

Why post all the ways to basically steal an Integra? There's some shady people that read this forum. This is basically a thieves FAQ.
You just found this out? Its pretty much basic knowledge... Get a better alarm, relocate your hood cable. Layer your security.
If you search you WILL find info.

Join Team-integra.net? Heard some bad stuff about that website. Anyhow how would you exactly relocate your hood cable?

This is basic knowledge... And the kid who said don't post this for theives... Why? They ALREADY know... Even I could get into an Integra and get is started without a key.. It's so ******* easy.
Relocating the hood release, battery, and installing an alarm with fuel/ignition cut off is a great way...
Even all that hard work is not worth it... If a theif wants a car - he will get the car. So the only thing you can do, is NOT leave the teg in a sketchy place. keep a watchfull eye on it, and buy a gun so you can kill a theif if you get the chance...

Good to know, now i know to shoot at the guy snipping wires in the front of my car. (I have a aftermarket alarm, but who said theives were smart?)
Shoot them thieves
Shoot them thieves
Dude - thieves know... You guys are so sketched out that they migh 'understand'... These ghetto lifeless ***** know more about security then people who work for alarm companies...
Unless you can figure out a REALLY original spot, and in that case they can always go to the fuse box and follow the wires if need be. I just don't bother... Pulled the automatic door lock fuse, have an ignition cut off, lock the wheel, and during long periods I pull a few important fuses and carry them with me... I'm not wasting money on an alarm system... Look at VTECorona(sp?) - his car was stolen with an alarm, fuel cut off, auto-club, etc... Theives will find a way... So **** it, thats why we have insurance.
I've already accepted the fact that my teg will probably be stollen... As long as I am carefull, and enjoy owning it - it will be worth it... Only thing that will suck is the 6g's I spent on aftermarket not being reimburssed... Oh well... C'est la vie...

Just because a person now knows how its done doesnt mean they are going to rush out and break into a teg.
I think its better to be aware than to be a victim.
Isn't that what crime prevention is all about?

I would put my fuel cutoff switch on the dashboard.... make sure you label it though so you don't forget one day and flip the switch. Just mark it.. "FUEL CUTOFF" in big red letters.

I agree, but can you actually SHOOT a theif if you catch one ******' with your car??
Before readin' about all these damn lowlife bastards here I would never shoot someone unless I NEEDED to. BUT after just readin' all this ****, I dont think I would wince at the chance....
A fuel switch is a great way to protect your car because it will deter it from just a run of the mill thief. It will stop them from starting your car, and thats true, but if the thief really wants your car he'll just go for the tow truck, and there's no stopping that.
