Default Exhaust Systems

alrighty, i searched up and down for a good exhaust thread but didnt find much. I have a 2000 4dr GS-R and i'm looking for i/e/h. i will worry about intake (probably going with the AEM V2) and headers later.

It seems that a lot of people use the APEXi N1 system but i want to know what else there is. I know that i will need to get mandel bent custom piping (whatever that is... if anyone could explain it that would be great) but lets not worry about that either.

so lemme know what the best exhausts are in your opinions...

Here are the exhaust systems that I am aware of for the 4dr GSR.

A'PEXi N1
A'PEXi World Sport
Greddy SP2
Skunk2 S/S

There is probably some more out there that I don't know about, but it all comes to preference, most of those exhausts are pretty good, but each one is engineered for different purposes. Just decide what you want, some people feel the N1 is too loud I think it is a great sound. Some people like the subtle sound of the World Sport. It all comes down to what you want.

Also, Comptech and Fujitsubo make great 4 door systems.

Ditto for me! I've had the GReddy SP for my 4-door GSR for a couple years now and I'm stickin' w/ it.
Again, its preference (sound, looks, etc.) when it comes to exhaust systems and also your set up (N/A or F/I).

If by any means you can afford to get a Fujisubo, then do so.

How about Ray's Gram Light's exhuast system. Really nice design with pie cuts at the tip. Sweet. Its a pretty new system so I don't think they have a model for Honda's yet.

Im in the market for an exhaust for my gsr, after comparing prices, iv decided to go custom, Im going to buy a unversal muffler (cheap), some flex pipe, and a unversal or maybe a high flow cat. Then im going to tke it all to a shop and get 2 1/4 piping. And there it is. I might get a little mnore but it depends on money, and actual uses of part (ex. presislencer ect.)

i am most likely going to stick with an NA setup so i'll only need a 2.25" diameter piping. sound wise i want it deep (not like an RC car which many gs-r's sound like unfortunatly) and i want it to increase performace as well. thanks for the input too.
