Well, its spring, and i've put on my warm-weather tires/rims... And wow, did I forget how loud the Yokohama's have gotten compared to the stock tires. When I first got these tires they weren't noisy at all, quieter than stock.. After a spring/summer/fall of driving along with one track event, they are VERY annoying.

The sound that is heard is at its loudest at 40mph, the tires have been getting progressively louder as they have been wearing down and its at the point where you just have to drive above 40 or below it.. The tires still have considerable life to them and I wasn't really planning on buying new tires just yet..

The following sound clip starts from about 55mph, and as i'm slowing down you will start to hear the tires getting louder - at which point i am holding my speed at 40mph, then compliting a full stop.

I know Azenis are reported to be noisy but I didn't expect my Yokohama's to be as well, I don't think I will be buying these tires again. Granted you should expect some noise from a summer tire as it wears down to the end of its life, but I didn't expect it to be this bad..

Anyone have this issue in common? I usually drive with the music on to tune it out, but you can still hear it loud and clear.. - what do you guys do?

 

I had parada Spec 1's and they were LOUD. I'm guessing it is common. Nothing you can really do, except turn the music up!!

no. my azenis just make road noise- the deep background noise in the clip. it doesnt do that resonating/higher pitched warble-warble sound, which is 2x more annoying imo.

My ES100's are worn down and are also pretty loud right around 40mph.

same kind of "loud" ? or a deeper background noise as tilt described it?

 

I have the Parada Spec 2 and these tires are also making the same noise....but im starting to think it might be a bad wheel bearing.

 

I'd just like to add these tires suck for how much you pay. I recently switched over to Fuzion ZRi's and I'm very happy with my rebadged RE750's

My Parada-2's wore out, deafened me, almost killed me in the rain, then went in the garbage.

 

I have those tires on my civic for a year now, they aren't noisey. Unless my turbo just drowns it out or something...haha.

 

You probably haven't been on quiet tires then.
