Default Help me Bleed my clutch:

Ok- Ive been having some problems with bleeding the air out of my clutchlines..... It seems that i cant get the pressure needed in the pedal.

First off- I swaped in the 5spd, so The whole system was bone dry. I now have fluid coming out of the bleeder screw. Ive been trying this for the past hour with little luck.

Pushing the pedal in, and pulling it out will push fluid out, but it will roll right back in. What can i do?

Someone told me I could take the slave cylinder off and push it in or something.. What exactly are they trying to say... If i squeeze the slave cylinder linkage in, a ton of fluid comes out, but i see tons of little bubbles, and when i do this i hear a gusshy noice every time i push it in... Is air getting in that way?

Please help
Anthony

According to the manual, and my personal experience, when your pumping the pedal up and down to bleed it, you need to do it SLOWLY, or you'll just be pushing bubbles.

The key is to have someone help you with this.

Pump the clutch a few times, then have your assistant untighten the valve until the squirt is over, and tighten it again. Make sure to constantly refill the reservoir with brake fluid, if it gets too low, air will be pumped through the system and you have to start all over again.

Make sure EVERYTHING IS TIGHTENED!!! Make sure the hose from the reservoir to the master cylinder is tight, and make sure the line into the slave cylinder is tight. If there is a leak anywhere, you are pumping bubbles and you will never finish (this is my idea of hell, btw).

So basically, I keep it closed, pump like 5-10 times, undo the bleeder untill the squirt stops, tighten, and do it over again?

can't you also loosen the bolt that the line is connected to instead of the bleeder screw? i seen a guy do it that way too? any differences either way?
