Default '99 gsr cat vs. '00 gsr cat?

searched.. but didnt find anything.

i cant use my test pipe anymore and i cant find my stock cat. Around my neck of the woods, police are doing the what is know as"mobile dmv's" or "moible inspection stations".

where cops are stationed in stratigic location, have their flatbeds along side of them. they bascially pull your *** over and do all the necessary inspections they want... emissions, lighting... blah blah.... and if the police determines that your car is unfit for the road...... well guess what.. it goes onto one of the wonderful flatbeds that are parked along side of the shoulder of the road.

my question is.. what is the main difference b/w a '99 gsr Cat and a'00 gsr cat?

according to Carsound's website, they do not make any direct bolt on cats for 2000 gsr's..

I know the 2000-01 gsr's have the same length cat as all type r's and 94-01 non-vtec.

i'm sure the only difference is length..if you notice, alot of cat-back exhausts work on 94-99 OR 00-01 and that has something to do with the length of the cat and/or header.

I bought a carsound cat a while ago, but haven't put it on. I have on 02 sensor bung in it so it won't throw a CEL code. I'm looking for a muffler shop to weld flanges on it so it will be a direct bolt-on. Anyone know what size flanges I need to bolt up to a 5zigen fireball cat-back and dc sports 4-1 header?

I do not know about car sound but I believe this is how it works

94-99 gsr cat is 4 inches shorter than the 97-01itr/LS cat. I am not 100% sure though. I think if you have a 00-01 gsr (like I do) If you buy a cat made for an integra LS, or an ITR you will be fine.
