Default Over flow in rservior

I have a 92 manual integra. My reservior over flows once in awhile. Need help fixing the over flow.

Its supposed to overflow thats what its there for!

you sure? its over flowing and going out of the reservior. Thats suppose to be normal?

its not supposed to go out of it...only into it...your car is running tooo hot...check your cooling system!

water pump,thermostat,radiator,radiator hoses! make sure everything is working properly!

should i replace my radiator?

One of my friends that is a mechanic says its the thermostat. But i don't think it is cuz my temp guage isn't going higher than normal.

i just had my second 90k tune up so i had my waterpump replaced.

211k on odometer.

start with the small stuff! thermostat could be stuck

i'm thinking its my radiator. everything else is working fine. I had no over heats.

Check all 3 of the sealing surfaces of the cap & the radiator neck. The cap needs to allow coolant to flow out to the tank when the pressure exceeds 15psi or whatever. Then when the radiator cools down it needs to open another seal to suck coolant back in from the reservoir. All the while, the largest-diameter seal has to stay airtight, otherwise it'll suck in air instead of coolant.

Or maybe even simpler... A leak in that little rubber hose will also draw air back into the radiator instead of coolant.

thanks for the tip. I'll check out the lil rubber hose for a leak.

But just to clarify things - I over Flow only once in awhile though. Not all the time
