advancing ignition > front or back?

the angle supposed to be towards the front of the car (my guess)? or away towards the interior of the car? your help is appreciated.

Dont forget to plug in the jumper under the dash or it wont do jack, also please use a timing lite, I hate it when people guess there timing.
