well i finally broke down and did it wow. I knew the vavles were off but i had no clue how much. they were like .06+, i adjusted them to factory spec and wow it is quite and there is tons more power and all in all it is just smoother.

if you are partially mechanical you should be able to do it!

 

yeah just take your time, triple check, and have the helms right there. make sure you do it in the right order.

 

i pretty sure need a feeler gauge, and tools to take off valve cover

 

look dude this **** is easy i guess that is why honda only charges 108.99 to do it. it is really easy. I searched on here and i found some directions on how to do it. took less than an hour but then i painted my valve cover (yea it is ballin textured black) that took alittle longer.

 

One of the snap on valve tools makes it a million times easier and faster. I also got a really long ratchet extension (24") so that I could do it without taking the tire off. You will also need honda bond and a new valve cover gasket, and plug well gaskets to do it correctly.

 

i just use a 10mm wrench and a screwdriver to adjust them. it's easy as ****. just make sure to tighten the locking nuts down TIGHT or they'll come lose with a quickness. also, make sure the motor is below 100 degrees before you do the valve adjustment.

 

Do you have to replace the valve cover gasket once you take it off.

 

your supposed to but you dont have to
but its a good idea to every fifth time you take off the valve cover!
