ATTS Fluid..
According to the owner's manual of the 5th gen Prelude, the 90,000 mile service requires (among other thingys) changing the ATTS Fluid. However, a call to our friendly Honda dealership reveals no such thing as "ATTS Fluid".. what gives?
Upon inspection, the unit that holds the ATTS fluid had the words "MCU Oil" written on it.. We drained it into an empty container just in case we had to re-use it, and it basically smelled just like regular manual tranny fluid, so that's what we replaced it with.
Anyone have any insight into this? Thanx in advance!!

What he said!
I thought about using Red Line ATF High Temp, but I didn't think it was worth it and I'm sure the ATTS is pretty finnicky as to what fluid it wants!
Just use Honda ATF!!

Hmm.. so wait, we've already changed it to Honda MTF (manual tranny fluid).. the same stuff we put in the tranny..
Will having the MTF instead of the ATF cause a problema?

It seems like this guy put the wrong fluid in the wrong place, result = his motor pulls like crazy!

The Honda dealer I innitially spoke with said to change both the tranny as well as the ATTS with Honda MTF, which we've already done.
So I should drain the ATTS unit again and change it to Honda ATF then, correct?

Capiche..
Although on a side note, I haven't experienced the problems you, nor the person in the other thread mentioned.. in fact, haven't had any problems at all since the service. But then again, why wait for the problems to start.
Appreciate the info!
