Any TALL S2 owners???
I graduate college in Dec 04
Among some of the cars I plan to look at are:
EVO
WRX/STI
S2000
350Z
I know, layout wise they differ, but they are all sexy in my book and have their pros and cons repsectively. I plan to drive them all, well maybe, and heres the problem:
Whichever I get will be my "weekend warrior." Just a summer/spring/fall cruising around in car. If I get this job I have lined up I will be able to afford these without problem. My daily will still be my 99 Si, I might go back to stock suspension and exhaust to make it a bit more daily tolerable, but it looks great and runs great, gets great gas, is decently quick, and I dont see why I should get rid of it to make room for something else, I mean I daily drive it now.
On to my problem. I went to the Philly auto show to sit in the 04 S2000, and well, no luck. I am 6'-6'1" or so tall and about 210lbs, not a small guy. With the seat back I couldnt get in, couldnt get my knee past the wheel for the life of me. Since the roof was down I, "stepped over and in." Once in I had plenty of room and was actually quite comfy. However, I couldnt deal with that and I can say it is enough for me to not buy the car. I know some cars can have the seat rails modded to slide a bit further back. If this thing had 2" more leg room I would be set.
BTW: I sat in all the others at the show and getting in/out of them was easy as pie. I love hondas and the S2000 would be up at the top, especially since I would like to lease this car and the STI/EVO dont have lease options.
I need a diet plan....

im 6'2 185lbs...fits me like a glove....kinda sucks on long drives and getting in and out in tight spaces sucks sometime too...other than that...its all good
I'm 6'2" and 200lbs. The 00-03's I can barely squeeze into and my knees dont allow me to turn the steering wheel at all. With the 04, its marginally better and definitely driveable as a second car. All thats left is for me to get over the 8k rpm redline

I'm having a hard time seeing how every other person that is 6'2" has no problem fitting in the car and I do. I mean, when I sit in the 00-03, I can practically stick out my tongue and lick one of my knees
