ok guys i am running a obd1 civic with a obd1 ls stock engine
i had some problems since the swap

1 low idle at cold start up
2 running rich
3 bouncing idle when warm
4 oil light for 3 seconds at cold


1. very low idle at start up only when its cold, low like under 500 and almost dying so you have to keep ur foot on the gas pedal to warm up the car for a little bit
i have checked the iacv and cleaned it very good but that didnt help
tryed to adjust the screw on the TB and that didnt help
2. i know i am running rich for sure because of a black smoke when switching gears at red line
3. idle bounces from 500 to 1300 up and down (really annoying)
this only happens when the car is warm
4. oil light is on for like 3-4 seconds at cold start up

hey ppl if you can help please do
the thing is i drove without the o2 sensor for about 3 month after the swap and i had put about 7xxx miles that way so i am thinking that the converter gone bad
another thing is i just hooked up the o2 sensor and the cel code for it is gone so it should be working but how do you explaing running rich

did i just write this up for nothing

 

Check your FITV under your TB if you have one, close the bottem hole in ur throttle body with you finger. If urcar is warmed up, and ur idle changes when you cover it, thats gone bad.
Than can create your bad idle..

Also, change ur spark plugs, mine fouled after having no 02 sensor..
