Default how to run rich?

hi everyone, i'm doin a mini swap soon but i'm gonna use my stock ecu which is a 95 civic dx ecu. i'm afraid that when vtec kicks in i'm gonna run lean. is there any cheap way to trick the ecu to run a little rich? i dont want to buy a fmu or anything expensive because the car is basically stock. i read somewhere online or in a mag that a guy fooled his ecu to think the car is always cold to make it run a little rich, anyone know how to do that? thanks in advance

your car will run in limp mode because you are not changing your ECU you need a p28 if you plan on running vtec on your mini me swap

your vtec will not kick in with a p06, like stated above.

however you can run with the stock p06 ecu with no major problem, just get the p28 as soon as you can and plug it in.

i was thinking of using the cheap rpm switch technique to engage the vtec so i'm just wondering how to support vtec fuel wise. but would it b better to switch over to the ex ecu and how much would that cost?

yup, try to find one for less then 100 bucks. you prolly can just send the 12volt signal to the solenoid to when you want vtec to kick in, but then you will have the air/fuel problem like you stated in your first post. and oil pressure sensor for your vtec ill not be plug in into your ecu. so to sum it up, get the damn p28.
