No offense but a GSR powered Civic should be running like at least mid 14s.

If you drove even half descent and ran a 16 with i/h/e and a gsr motor. You have like 180 hp easy. Are you sure you got a gsr motor man? running on 3 cylinders?

Just out of curiosity, why exactly did you post this in the 4th gen forum? The drag racing forum would probably be the best place to ask this question. Oh well...

What were you 60 foot times? At what rpm did you launch? Did you slip the clutch or side step it? Did you floor it or modulate the throttle until you got traction? There are tons of things that go into launching a car correctly. You might want to perform a search on "launching" or something similar to read what techniques others out there are using.

It sounds like you just need a lot of practice. Keep hitting the track and trying new things until you get it right.

yeah if your vtec controller isnt tunned its gonna run like crap...i suggest that unless its tuned next time you race....take the controller out and race it without the controller...just take it out now already unless you have someone to tune it good for you

If everything on the VTEC controller is set to 0% correction then it should run just like a stock gsr motor. Make sure everything is set at 0% then go back out and try running again. If that doesn't do anything then you just need more practice (which you will need anyway since it was your first time at the drag strip).

heres what you do... go to an empty parking lot somewhere where there are usually realy low numbers or people and cars... and practice there.... get your techniques down and then go to the track... you can get a practice tree or you can imagine the tree in front of you for us people that don't have any money...lol.... just practice...
