i really cant rem..... it has been a while.... i thought about sending one to canada where they are no law against that type of import and then sending it across the lakes like the other guy did..... transfer VIN and be good to go..... but i would like to do it the right way..... after all what officer would know the differance?... just like doing a front clip swap.. right?

Ive seen him used on here already registered and all that. They could have just been RHD conversions though.

well the way i have see it go is..... customs will allow a CRX SiR to come here on a special permit that only allows the car to remain in the states for a year.... this is with out smogging it or any alterations....... but at the years end..... they will knock on your door..... take the thing and destroy it in a customs holding facility.... if it is still here....... but yea, when i checked about a price in japan.... most was about $2,000 and shipping on a contaner ship was 500 to 700 dollars too.... so yea 7G is a little steap...... i could just do the conversion but that is alot of work...... and swapping the VIN is easier.... :-).... just cant find one reasonable

but that is some type of special racing or show permit...... if not the like a extra 10K just to do the work needed to pass U.S. reg's..... and you cant do the work... only a customs certified worker can..... i think it was going to be about 1,200 for a smog system alone...... talking about overcharging..... damn!

passwordjdm.com has them sometimes. about 5g's for a RHD EF9 or a RHD EF8. They usually have a couple little dents here or there not too bad. but registering it is your deal. I cant imagine its that hard in TN though. It gets done in CA so it can happen in TN any day. I asked one of the guys from inline four how he got both of his JDM type r's registered and all he said was "we have our ways!". lol

i've heard you can ship them in pieces, put it together here, then work out the registration....supposedly, customs will allow the pieces to come to you...it would just take some time
