guages not working, help!
My cluster stopped working after I installed a ZC. The tach, the temp, and the fuel guages do not work, and neither does the turn signal or reverse lights. I found a blown fuse in the turn signal slot and replaced. Everthing worked for 5 seconds then it blew the fuse. I searched and found 3 posts with the same problem, but no answer. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks

make sure you dont have a short somewhere...likely some where with your lights...make sure there are no shorts or ecu wires being grounded out...and check and recheck ALL grounds. fuses fry from either too much voltage or from shorts...hth
strange.... i would unhook the temp sender and the and all the other junk, then check to see if the guage for the fuel is working.... if so then start hooking up everything one by one till you find what it is..... did you forget to unhook any wires when takign out your old engine and maybe pull them a bit?.... i would check there if so... might have cut a few wires....... did you change your CPU?... if so try another one.....

Well I have followed every wire and I cannot find anything. If I put a new fuse in it works for about one minute then burns up. When it is working if I put it in reverse my water temp guage goes to the red, then when it is taken out of reverse it drops back down.
i had the SAME problem abotu a week ago! and i kept replacing the fuses inside the engine bay and under the dash, i got mad and this is what i did.
replaced all turn signal bulbs, then i turned on my car without the main relay's inside (can be found under the dash, which are the two box looking things. then i turned off the car, put the relays back in. then i checked the fuses, they were blown again. put in new fuses (1 10a for the hazards which is under the hood) and then (1 10a i believe for the turn signals under the dash, nto positive but i remember replacign another one under the dash) and then turned on the car and the cluster worked once again! also the turn signals worked an di was happy. give it a shot, it just might work for you too

Be sure you hooked up ALL your ground wires. There should be 3, one on the valve cover, one on the tranny and one one the themostat housing. You need all 3.
