well i know the z6 head on a dx block will be higher compression but i also have the block from the z6 motor and i wanna build one or the other up so which do u think would be better to build? the dx for higher compression or jus build the z6 block up that i have?

i have that already . and the dx block gives more compression but does that mean its gonna be more powerful than the 1.6 L block it came with? what if i take the DX rods and pistons and put them in the SI block?

 

I would go with the z6. My buddy had a DX block with a z6 head..and it was slower then a HF..damn thats sad. If I was doing the build up I was for sure stay with the z6. If you can sell the DX block and get an a6 out of a SI..(mini-me) still get pretty high compression with that i believe it is 10:1:2. Not really exactly sure. But if anything just keep the z6 block and built that one.

 

i have a a6 block already. its in my SI now. its already re built and all but i would rather not tear that motor apart.. guess ill jus build the z6 block.
