Default SOUNDSLIKE BELTS, BUT IT ISNT

WHATS UP GUYS,
I GOT a 98 accord very good condition. recently there was a squealin noise under the hood. its the squealing noise that comes from the belts when they need to be tensioned or changed. but its coming from the side of the ditributor, not the belts. b/c i put belt dressing on the belts and its not from the them. any 1 got ANY ideas b4 my mechhanic rips me off? thanks i appriciate it

MY CAR IS DOING THE EXACT SAME THING>>>is it like a ligh faint sqeeling noise....you can hear it only from the pass side of the car by the dist right? someone know what this is????

KFL has good questions. Pls answer for best help.

One source can be a bad electric fan motor behind the radiator. When the bearings go bad, they howl, but it only comes on when the fan comes on, so its hard to track down at first, because it doesn't happen all the time.

its only at idle. my friends father said it maybe the timing belt that got dry, but im agreeing witht the ditributor. hmm so what does that mean? its goin bad? hes said its just the rotor inside thats spinning but its shoudlnt make noise. what u guys think?
its sounds like i had crickets under my hood...literally

When my distributer went out it sounded more like rocks were in there.

there is a bearing at the base and they go out!!! when they get bad enough the shaft moves enough for the sensor teeth to hit the pick-ups and then you get the gravel sound...

we replace at least 1 a week at the dealer
