Is 16lbs too much weight for a rim?
Ok so I am looking into rims for my baby (my teg) and I came across these Konigs which I like and I was just curious if 16.02lbs is a bit too much weight for a 17x7 rim.
I am going with the 17's because I want 16's but they only make them in 15, 17, or 19 and so I figured I'd just go with 17's.
Here is a pic of the rim:

What do you guys think of these new 5zigen's?

you have to put into account where the majority of that weight is (middle or towards outside), as well as what tires you're going to be running.
Tires are the most overlooked aspect on modified japanese cars i see on the street.
For example, a lot of the "jdm followers" run azenis tires on their light 9 lb spoon sw388's but forget that azenis tires in 15" are over 20 pounds in weight.
My old wheel and tire combo (the one in my sig) were 32 pounds combined.
I had some SI's with shitty *** kumho 711s were 36 pounds.
The 17's i'm on with yoko es100's are 40 pounds combined...

please do not buy the konig heliums, after i saw the pictures of what Jack at P1 auto did to his heliums by just doing a few laps around the track, i will never trust Konig products.
btw the wheels cracked and split from just driving around the track
i would go with a wheel such as a Kosei K1 they are pretty light wheels and not too high cost

the real ce28n's weigh a lot less and they're stronger.. remember u get what u pay for... but they're pricey..
hm.. ever thought about the 5 zigen fn01r-C's.. those are in the same weight range and cheap too.. even though everyone in the world is rockin them.. i'm sure they can go through more hell than the konigs will...

check out prices on tires before you buy rims.. 17" tires are expensive... it might actually make u buy smaller rims...
