whats the difference in a sohc zc a sohc zc v-tech and a dohc zc???

horsepower! :-) i think the sohc is 120 hp while the dohc is 130+ hp.... as far as the vtec zc, never heard of it!... well never seen one anyway..... go with the dohc.... pretty cheap here in tennessee.... like 600.00 local pickup!

in japan, the g3 tegs basemodel had a sohc vtec ZC...very similar to the 96+ D16Y8 WE HAVE IN THE US

I beleive theres like a D15 ZC motor that is Vtec. But i can't remember anything for the life of me

I got the dohc and I've been happy with it, if you plan on making a good bit of power dohc is more tuneable, plus once you get some nice big cams in there vtec wont matter much as you wont be in those low rpms.
