no warranty will not cover ur car...when this happened to my friend, all we did was just ook put the spark plugs and cranked it for like 1 second, it threw the water out, and his car started. Right after, just change your oil too. I dunno if this helps, but it has worked numerous times for a couple of my frineds.
should i try startin it 2night??>? or should i let it sit till 2mmorow?? the reason i am under wpg prelude name is because i am at freinds house... PLEASE HELP ME HONDA TECH
just try it tonight, just remember dont crank ur car too long or too much. i know that this is the most amateur way, but this way has helped many times. also dont forget to change ur oil.

Remove the spark plugs and crank the engine a couple quick times to get any standing water out if there is any. Use a flash light to take a peek inside the cylinders. If it looks dry get some new plugs and replace them and try to start it.
Check the oil dipstick to see if there is anything funky in there.
You did the right thing by not re-starting it and pulling over. My wife didn't and blew 3 holes in my block.
After you get it home change your oil just in case. IF you have AAA it may be a good idea to tow it home before doing anything, just in case. Good luck!

I can't agree more, after practically putting a hole in my CAI Air Filter I just went short ram,
sorry to hear about your current problem though

I was idling when I sucked up water and my car died. I had it towed home and did the following:
1. Drain oil
2. Remove fuel injection main relay which is near your fuses
3. Remove spark plugs
4. Detach intake and drain any water that may be in throttle body and/or intake
5. Crank motor and let all of the water shoot out. (do this bystarting the car like you normally would.)
6. Let it sit out for an hour or so and dry
7. Put in new spark plugs and oil
8. Put fuel injection relay back in
9. Start car and let idle for 20 minutes
It took a few tries for mine to kick over but it eventually did.

do a search...there are plenty of topics...there was even a site that did a full dyno on several intakes, and the comptech came up on top throughout midrange by a considerable amount, whereas other intakes came above in really low end and top end....but only by a little bit.

If it is a newer car still under warrenty ... if you put the stock intake system back on it .... and the car just happened to stall out one day and you dont know why ... wouldnt warrent cover that scenario if there was a bent rod ?
I think they would have to PROVE you did something in order for them not to warrenty it. Not just say you did such and such.
