Rear Engine Cover Rubbing the Camshaft Sprockets. Acceptable?
Engine is a B18B1. I replaced the timing belt and all that. Had to remove the camshaft sprockets and rear engine cover. Upon reassembly I noticed the plastic rear engine cover was rubbing the camshaft sprockets. It looked as though they had rubbed to some degree before I started this job. The car drives just fine since but I have a noise which I suspect is the cover. When I get up in the RPM's, the whirring sound is like a turbo charger sound.
Has anyone experienced warping of this cover? Is the valve cover supposed to pull this rear engine cover away from the sprockets? I am going to take the valve cover and top timing cover back off and have a look.
Does anyone feel I should go all the way down, pull the cam sprockets off and give that rear cover another shot? I really hope not. All advice welcome.

Nope,
It's a manual tranny. Don't get me started on that, had to replace it after 40K.
And yes, a week after I did the timing belt, the rear engine cover still makes a very audible rubbing sound.
