i have a few sohc zc questions...

what is the code stamp on the head? (ie, pm6, pm7, etc.)
is the sohc zc dizzy any different than the si?
does sohc zc have domed pistons?
what is the tranny code?

just curious about these things. thanks.

for all rights and means, SOHC ZC is 98% exactly the same as a d16a6, only the cam has slightly higher lift. the block is 100% identical.

 

i know that...

the reason why i'm looking for these specifics is cause i'm picking up a sohc zc complete longblock for $50 tomorrow, although the block is stamped zc, its running a dpfi manifold and is coming with a pm5 ecu...so i want to know if i'm actually getting a complete sohc zc block/head/tranny....or if its just the zc block with the d15 head + tranny etc.

 

nope you are getting the right deal, its just some sohc ZC came with DPFI

 

you know all that, yet you asked about the internals. obviously if you dont know th edifference between the heads, block, and tranny, you dont know much.

 

hey if you have some info then please share opposed to criticizing my knowledge, the fact that neither of your replies answered a single one of my questions doesn't say much in itself...so let me restate my questions so there is no confusion. Keep in mind i am aware that the sohc zc and d16a6 are identical aside from the cam so disregard my domed piston question and distributor q

what is the stamp # on the head? (i thought it was pm3-9 but i've gotten various input on that)
what is the code on the transmission? (is there another indicator besides pl3 which covers them all?)
