SOHC NON-VTEC ZC?
Does this engine exist? To my knowlege there is only the DOHC NON-VTEC and the SOHC VTEC ZC's. Also, I've read that you cannot swap D series heads onto the ZC blocks.
What's wierd is that a friend of mine recently had this engine swapped into his 2g civic. I have pics that I can post but unfortunatly the pics of the block stamp didn't show up. It's 100% a ZC block with what looks to be a CRX Si head and valvecover. There's no VTEC solenoid, so it's definitely not a VTEC head on there.
Is this a real Sohc non-VTEC ZC? If not, what heads can be swapped onto a ZC block?
TIA for any info.

Re: SOHC NON-VTEC ZC? (Hybridize)
This is possible. My friend swaped the dohc for his sohc si and the thing runs stronger than any dohc zc i have seen. But for the head transplant it is possible, also use a sohc vtec head to get a little higher compression ratio, hope this helps
