I heard there are cv boot that is splited so you can install it without removing suspension components; are they reliable?

I've never seen one that didn't leak.

They work as a temporary fix to keep most of the dirt and crap out, but they do leak and I wouldn't recommend them for any long term fix. I had two of them and they both fell apart after awile. One piece boot is definitely the way to go

oem sounds good. Is the cv bolt hard to remove? I had a run in with the crank bolt and had to bring it to the shop so they can break it for me. Anyway, I need a good tutorial with pic.

what exactly do you mean by broke?

crack?

once the boot is leaky, the lube is gone, dirt and sand came into the axle, grinding everything up

Yea it is cracked, its only the inner boot on the driver side. Should I replace the boot or think about replacing the axles?
