into a 90 civic 4dr? we just picked up a 89 acura ls at my car lot for 100 bucks and im thinking about buying it to part out or to drop the motor in my car. anything i would have to do, or is it a drop in? im making this car a total sleeper, it is a clean car, and it has the fakey rims on it, but would u think this car could beat u if it pulled up on you?

Isnt that just a d16a1 engine? 1.6 liter non-vtec, around 125 hp or so, i dunno, but it should swap into the crx, unless its a brown top zc, i can remember the exact years.

It won't bolt in. Mounts are completely different.

so i just need a mount kit and then most likely it will work? there will be few built engines that could beat it yes, but the average import person or wannabe doesnt have the money or time to do it.

As far as I know they don't make a mount kit for that.

The pre 90 integra engine is not a B16 and rates right up there with the 88-89 or so B20a prelude engine as the least desireable swap fodder. That's why there are no mount kits.

The engine in the 89' Teg is a D16A3, worlds away from the B-Series motors. The motor isn't all that powerful, at 118hp / 103lbs-ft, and there are no mount kits out on the retail market due to low demand and the ZC which is a comparitive motor is a straight bolt-on.

If everyone used the search function everytime, these forums would come to a grinding halt.

okay that is a d16a1, the d16a3 is the european couterpart of that engine...it is worthless...it is a DOHC Si engine and was made for the intergra and can be swapped into the 84-87 civic/crx, and will NOT go into newer cars and there is no mount kit

I'm gonna screw you guys all up.....lol

it will fit, it will bolt to your existing tranny and all the mounts except one are gonna work

the only one that wont work is the driverside mount, you need to get a little creative here but it can be done, heck I've seen total morons figure out a way to use that motor and fab up a mount.

so yeah it will work if you want to figure that one mount, I'd probably do it if thats the *only* motor I had

you would have better luck makeing you car MPFI then messing around with D-series parts

anywho good luck
