yeah, its the part of it that goes from the ball to the shift linkage that makes it a short shifter, not the height of your shift **** from the console

yea its not bad
and its not 100% nothing to do with how short the shifter is and only from the ball to the linkage

the whole purpose of a shifter is to reduce the radius of the shift pattern so you can shift faster

it just so happens cutting it does that as well

im even more ricer tho, i put the shifter BOOT on my automatic for now, havn't cut it cuz im gonna do the auto to manual swap soon hopefully

I had a short shifter on my hatch and it kept rubbing against the exhaust pipe, plus I can't stand that 1" shift from 1st to 2nd, I need some throw. But the ratteling against the pipe was the worst....put a stock in and haven't looked back

The distance from A to C is longer then B to D
Chopping down height does make for a shorter throw, at the loss of leverage.
Changing anything below the pivot point will also work. Doing both will achieve more then just one or the other.

And you call it ricer but it's an old hot rod trick...people have been ghetto modding shifters since the 50s.

I can shift quick enough with the stock one... why go out and pay money for a short shifter when its just gonna break off in my hand..... i like the stubby shifter idea.... looks good....
