i have a question about an axle .. its from a 89-91 SI .. i got it rebuild a while back .. put it on the car .. never drove on it .. took it out and its been sitting there for about a year now .. i was about to install it today and i was feeling the joints .. and one of them (one that goes to the knuckle) .. feels kinda rough .. when i move it around with my hand it feels kinda rough to move around .. its this ok?? the tranny sides moves freely

 

What part of the drive axle feels rough?

As long as the rubber is still flexible and it has fresh grease packed in it, it should be good. With the car out of gear you should be able to spin one axle in the tranny and have the other spin with it. Just make sure you have them completely in the trans housing before driving.
