RSX type r
Are any of you guys running the K series type r motor? If so how do you like it, what kind of numbers does it put down, and for what kind of price?
What is the K series R motor code?

quite a few of the guys on clubrsx.com have the K20A swapped in. Run a search in the NA and Performance sections of clubrsx and you'll find your answers.
More or less, they are running close to Type-R numbers since the RSX is a bit heavier and doesn't have a few compenents.

I'm running a K20A in my 2001 Civic, which I previously had a K20A2 in (Same setup as sig, but with TODA Spec A's w/o the TODA Header, Comptech instead). I don't have actual dyno numbers, but the engine itself does feel a little stronger, or maybe that's the TODA header..hehe..
I was able to get an entire DC5-R front clip for 4 thousand. It had everything except for the suspension.

Won't it need the 6 speed? Would you lose the power running on a 5spd tranny?
As for the ECU, yes, just need to do a K20A reflash and some engines will come with the Type-R ECU.

Thanks buddy
As a new member let me be the first to say if you don't have anything to add to a conversation don't say anything. I said RSX so that people would not be confused between this motor and the C5
I have a question for anyone who has done the swap in to any car but more specifially in something other than an RSX or a new hatch, preferably an EG or an EK. What do you do with the trans. you end up with six gears? You just have to get custom axles, shift linkage, etc.?
Thanks buddy
