Default D16A6 into hf (searched) D-Series Gurus!

I have been searching for a couple days and cant find anything helpful. I swapped a d16a6 into my 90 HF, now I will be using the HF ECU for now until I can get a pm6, now will the ecu work straight across, or is there some modification to the wiring (I have heard that some wires need to be cut). I checked the diagram in my Chiltons manual and see that some wires are HF only and some are to be used on every model but the HF. The ecu is also throwing a code 15(ignition output signal) , and 16(fuel injector). If anyone has any info, it would be greatly appreciated. I am also getting no spark from the distributor.

Ok, I got everything hooked up, when I go to start the car and turn the ignition to run before I crank it, I get a spark in all cylinders, but I dont get any when I crank the engine. It doesnt make sense, I have replaced the distributor but no luck. I am stumped, I guess I will keep crackin at it until I can figure it out.

I have been reading up on the differences between the motors, and from what I have seen, the only difference is the EGR valve, but this wouldnt cause no spark would it. I know there have been people with the same problem but no answers.

check your timing, over and over again. I had an issue like that. Ended up being my valves were way too tight, cause my cam to make my timing belt jump, valves not to open etc. Double check your valves and your timing. (I recently swapped my 195k a6 for a 70k a6). Not sure though cuz you say you aren't getting spark when the crank is turning..odd. Hopefully someone can shed some light for you, free bump!

BTW, I'll have a pm6 for sale soon, getting my chipped p6 in tomorrow or monday

did you use the HF engine wiring harness? the Si harness will not work in the HF - the wires at the connector to the chassis harness at the firewall on the driver's side are in different locations in each side of the connector - use the HF harness

Yeah, I used the harness that was hooked on the engine. So I guess I need to replace it with the HF one. Thanks guys Now I feel smart.
