Default question: rear lower control arms for our cars

I've been told that EG rear lca's work w/ our ED/EF's. Does anyone have issues w/ the swaybar not lining up to the holes on the rear LCA's? Like, are the holes on the rear LCA's in the same spot on the EG and swaybar equipped EF's?

i don't have experience w/ rear swaybars since i have a DX. and i want to get aftermarket EG LCA's to run a rear sway bar.

one more question... i was also told that DA rear lca's are the same as EFs.. is that true? because i also read on http://www.ef-honda.com/ben/EFhybridsus.html that the DA/DC rear LCA's are 1/16" longer then EG/EF ones.

thanks!

EDIT: i also searched and i couldn't find any specific info

Jimmy,

I use my DA rear LCAs on my 88 HF. Hope that helps you some in your quest for a sway bar. Why not just get an ST bar?

hey thanks John for the quick reply! I will probably end up getting a ST rear, I just need to get some LCA's that have the hole for the sway (stupid DX).

One of my friend's cousins or something got in a front end collision in his DA, so i'm gonna take his rear disc setup, and i guess now i'm gonna try to get his lower control arms and rear sway.

If you get a Susp techniques swaybar you dont need Si LCA's and its a much thicker bar. The ST bar bolts to the lca at the shock. Dont hold me too this but the EG lca's are nearly the same as the EF Si's but the swaybar bolts to the body in a totally different way. Which would make it difficult to use on an EF chassis. HTH

i don't need Si rear LCA's really? How does the rear swaybar bolt onto w/out the threaded holes on the lca's?

EDIT: i just re-read your reply haha. hmm... does anyone have a pic of the bar connected to the shock? i didn't know it bolts to the shock...hmm

thanks for the info man.

The ST bar bolts to the lca at the lower shock bolt. It uses a L-shaped bracket. The ST bar is a nice piece, but make sure you have clearance because alot of ppl have had issues with it hitting the exhaust. I have the Greddy SP and had no fitment issues at all. To find out more about what works as far as exhaust, do a search, there is lots of info. hth
