Default Comptech site address.

Did a search on exhaust and headers all I see alot of votes on comptech, I've never heard of them. Was thinking DC Sport or Greddy for header setup, since those two where the only companies I know of and that where making exhaust for the import sence back in the early to mid 90' before it blow up.

When I graduated high school in 95 I tried to get an Integra at that time not many people knew what it was or heard of it, no that's pretty much what poeple talk about around here becides civic's.

Anyways can someone post a link to their site, and if there's any other companies out there please post their site.

Thanks,

Shawn

wtf it shows that their comptech icebox makes 19 HP at the wheels over the stock airbox, is this possible? Test was shown for a 2000 Integra GSR. That seems like ALOT of power from just an intake.

19 hp with the ice box, header and exhaust.
NOT a intake alone.
Cheers,
Will

Comptech is awesome no doubt about it, all their stuff is solid.
AEM is quiestionable (the latest V2 seems to be nothing more than a heat shield around a smaller pipe) and DC sports is well... crappy, if you're on a budget i guess their headers are ok but i wouldn't touch their exhausts with a 10foot clown pole.

Thanks for the help, seems like a pretty reputable - I'll keep looking on for more info. How's the sound, not looking for something two loud or whines. Looking for something with a deep tone.

Thanks,

Shawn

never heard of comptech? weird. and even back in '95, not many people had heard about the integra?? even more weird. at that time, it was in its second year in the third generation. the integra had been being made for 9 years then. did you live in the stix? sorry, not trying to start heat, i just thought that was a little odd.

oh yeah...go comptech!

EDIT: don't know what sort of budget you're on, but if you can afford it, SMSP seems to make real good power. i've seen dyno charts and these headers can be used with very high power engines, and they're very precisely made with a careful attention to diameter, bend angles, etc. they also get a from me. the guy that makes them is on this board somewhere. if someone else knows his user name, this guy might like to know it. expect to pay about $700 i think for a B series header.

I don't leave in Cali anywhere, at that time more people were into camero's and cars like that. The import scene didn't really blow up around here till late 90's early 2000's. I would bring in my copies of Super Street to read in school, and people would be like what the hell kind of magazine is that.

Not really worried about price, as long as it good quailty and provides good numbers. You got a link to SMSP's site. Comptech seems to have good welds according the the pic's. If anyone has closer up pics of the comptech exhaust and header please post.

Thanks,

Shawn

Don't have a Teg yet, have to get rid of my 03 Chevy Avalanche Z71 first. Just parts shopping, but plan on getting a 94-99 GSR.

Sound is very sporty, the muffler has a sp/ws look to it so its a given it wont have that can sound everyone has.

if you need proof goto team-integra.net and take a look at their sound clips for exhuasts, i think you'll be happy with the sound the Comptech exhaust puts out.
