Default taking bets: will a hytech twinloop axleback for dc2 fit on an ef?

Yup, I have acquired a hytech twinloop axleback.

BUT, I intend to mount it on my EF (91 si).

Any suggestions on how to mount it?

I was planning on just having some 2.5" mandrel bent piping done up in stainless and run it straight back and under the axle...

Thoughts?

Obviously you'll have to custom a cutout for it. The piping lenght also might be different so your basically custom making a catback with just a hytech mufler.

If you've got access to a welding torch, it'll fit, y0!

I sold someone the axle back portion of mine and I think hey put some piping on it and installed in on some race hatch or something. His name was TodaCivic on this board. Try contacting him

Yeah, I bought it from him.

FYI: there was no way I could get the twinloop under the rear of the EF...

Maybe I could run it the way the stock EF routes, but the path would be so convoluted.....

have you thought of just custom mandrel bent 2.5" until you get to the muffler then just welding that on as a muffler?

I did custom mandrel bent 2.5" and let it exit out behind the passenger's door.

I take it you have never seen the stock EF path? It is quite long and convoluted.

Believe me, if I could get the hytech muffler on the EF somehow, I would. There simply isn't enough room to work with back there.....

Maybe I'll take a pic and show you guys what I mean.

Cut a hole out on the corner of the rear bumper and diagonal exit it. Or, maybe it'd be easier to just mount it on the roof.
