my friend just had her oil changed, and the light is still on, anyone know how to turn it off?

 

um....did they put oil in it? that light only turns on with low/no oil pressure.

something is amiss.

 

the slot beside the indicator... stick the car key in it.... it is a mileage triggerd indicator(no actual light just a wheel like your odometer) unless its a newer car then you turn the with the key off you press and hold the odo reset button and turn the key on while holding the button in and wait for the light to go out .... it changes red every 7500 miles most places dont reset on oil changes because every 7500 is a service interval
